Brilliant tool when working
I bought the fatmax combi drill and impact driver combi set with bag and two batteries when i first used it i thought it was a good powerful tool and value for money. It was only when i went to charge it fir the time i noticed it wasn't charging so thought ok then possibly a dodgy charger so i contacted the seller to inform him of the situation and offered me another charger at discount so i thought ok and got one now when i charge the batteries i the get red led light flashing on both batteries so i guess the batteries are knackered after being used for the 1st time very unhappy. Now stuck with a tool set i can no lo ger use.

Look past the clunky and sharp edge looks of this Impact Wrench and what you have is an extremely powerful and rugged Power Tool. The ergonomic design has delivered a tool which sits comfortably in the hand, useful for long periods of use. The powerful 47Nm of torque is delivered smoothly and fully controllable and variable with a very responsive and comfortably placed trigger assembly. All in all I can report that so far, following 5 recharge cycles, my FMC641 Impact Wrench has performed flawlessly and I have been thus far extremely impressed. I am confident that this Power Tool sits well within the heavy DIY to light to moderate proffesional use range.
There is not much to not like about this tool but, whilst most reasonable, the 18v Lithium Battery life seems to have been outperformed by my previously owned top brand power tools. This aside, the battery life has performed well so far across 4 projects requiring multiple woodscrew removal and insertions. The recharge time has proven to be very quick so the power hungry battery can be easily managed within a project or a working day. For future development and purely positive criticism, I would like to see a slight increase in the thickness and slightly softer feel to the rubberised grip and some of the weight of the tool, with the battery fitted, transferred slightly more to the rear to off-set the heavy cast front casing. This would improve further what is already a well balanced tool. I personally prefer a base unit approach to the charging assembly as to the clip on unit provided the tool, but the advantage here is a much smaller charging assembly which takes up less space in an already full, portable tool kit.
