Parts for a Stanley 5900 craft knife?

I have posted a request for details in the introductions section but I fear it may have been overlooked

I have a few Stanley 5900 craft knives knocking around (all around 30 yrs old now). One or two are missing the spring strip that holds the knife blade safely in between the two case sections when it is closed up. Are there any old stocks of replacements for these springs anywhere? They can be used without the spring but are far better if they are in place.

I think your only chance will be to find a second hand knife.

Thank you Dick, I feared this may be the most obvious outcome Shame as I have a few spares bits for this model as it is just not the 'spring' section. It should be possibly to fashion a new one from a piece of thin steel and then temper it. Bit of a faff though....
