How to keep your van tidy and making best use of space

Postby john » Mon Nov 12, 2012 12:18 am

I seem to constantly be tidying my van up, I have a pretty good set of racking etc but everything seems to end up in a proper jumble, anyone got any good tips or products to use to keep some semblence of order!. The only two areas of mine that dont end up looking like my van has literally been turned upside down are my holesaws which all get put on a shelf in an offcut of Celotex/Kingspan with the holes drilled out for each one and secondly my guide rails and framing squares etc which slot into blunt Multimaster/oscillating saw plunge blades screwed to the ply lining. Also any tips or gadgets for keeping the cab less like a mobile skip/burgled house. Any one got a good way of keeping mastic tubes tidy? Mine constantly roll about thumping into my bulkhead making me think I have an illegal immigrant hiding in the back of my van.

I've tried all sorts John to no avail. I'm constantly rebuilding shelves etc trying to keep some sort of order. The same goes with tool boxes and bags. I'll never find the perfect solution, I'm quite sure!

John. How about something akin to the old test tube racks we used at school? Shouldn't be too hard to achieve with a hole cutter!

I won't hold my breath for a picture of the van when it's tidy!

Just to show it's a properly used Tradesman's Van... What more proof does anyone need..!!

and a Closer inspection for the real doubters.. Note the suitable placed 'Stanley' mug, borrowed from BDU in Slough.. oooops..!!

Enjoy..!!
