Stanley Is Top Of The League

Football fever has firmly set in and Stanley has kicked off the new season with a series of exciting new promotions to make sure the nation’s tradesmen are supporting their teams in style this year.
Tradesmen can get in on the action by taking part in Stanley’s ’60 Shirts in 60 Days’ promotion every day between 2nd August and 30th September, which is seeing its customers get kitted out in their team’s latest top. Footy fans should also look out for their chance to support their team in style from a pitch-side pub, all thanks to Stanley, the champions of professional hand tools.
Stanley knows that when the weekend arrives their tradesmen look forward to sitting in the stands and supporting their beloved team, so, following the success of the World Cup Fantasy League, the market leader in professional hand tools is rewarding its valued customers with the chance to win some well-earned football prizes with its new premier league fantasy football. The manager who finishes the season top of the league will walk away with a new tool set to the value of £1000 and every Manager of the Month will get their hands on £100 worth of Stanley Tools.
Stanley’s World Cup Fantasy League over the summer saw hundreds of Fabio-wannabes take on the task of managing their very own World Cup team, with the winners of the mini leagues taking home a share of a £50,000 prize fund. Tradesmen from all over the country tried their hand at tackling the tournament but the overall winner, and recipient of £1,000, was DIYer George Dysart, who proved he could be a real danger in the dugout.
Stanley also rewarded its most successful merchant with a prize of £5,000 for having the top team of tradesmen. Ross Rablin, a retailer from Bognor, scooped the prize for having the mini league with the highest average score in the tournament, with his selection of tradesmen and professional DIYers signing up to the premier Covers-Bognor league.
Rounding off a cup-winning promotion, Stanley crowned sixty-six-year-old window fitter Peter Keogh, from Bognor, the winner of Stanley’s competition to ‘Win a Footballer’s Life’. Peter downed tools to spend a day living the luxurious life of Lampard and co, which included getting behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Gallardo Coupé, signing autographs and getting snapped by paparazzi, getting a grilling on Talk Sport and living it up in top London department stores, restaurants and cocktail bars.
David Osborne, Marketing Director at Stanley, adds, “Our customers are avid football followers and here at Stanley we believe it’s really important to reward the hard work of our professional tradesmen. It is the genuine grafters who really warrant a bit of reward and recognition so we are pleased to be able to offer them football shirts, footballer’s lives and pitch-side pubs to help them celebrate the beautiful game – even pros need a bit of playtime!”
